Diva La Paz, hosted by Colonia de la Paz Residence Hall, is an annual drag show which brings in hundreds of students each year to raise awareness on campus about the LGBTQ community.
The main beneficiary of the event is the Tucson LGBTQ center, Wingspan. Students at the event could browse a room with educational materials about transgender issues before sitting down for the show.
The event is part of Residence Life’s diversity and social justice programming, aimed at teaching students about different social justice topics at the UA.
