    The Format

Seeing The Format live is like watching one of your favorite movies over and over again. It just doesn’t get old.

The band delivered another rocking performance Friday night at the Orpheum Theatre in Phoenix.

Nate Ruess, Sam Means and the rest of the band’s energy seemed to vibrate from the stage. It helped that their hometown show was first on the tour with friends Reuben’s Accomplice, Steel Train and Limbeck.

Although the assigned seating put a small damper on the show and the stage was too big for band, The Format didn’t let anyone down

They dedicated the majority of the show to their first album, Interventions and Lullabies and topped it off during the encore by performing songs from Dog Problems.

The Format had the crowd singing and clapping their hands through songs like “”The First Single”” and “”Time Bomb.”” Ruess and Means also slowed the tempo down with “”On Your Porch,”” which most of the teenage girls managed to quiet down for.

Any of the teenyboppers at the show will vouch that it was awesome. But if you don’t believe it, catch the band the next time they are in Arizona.

    You won’t regret it.
