“Campus Cats: Sheryl King, Finance senior”

What is your idea of paradise?

A really superfluous answer would be when I don’t have to do homework anymore. My idea of paradise is probably more religion. I would think of heaven.

What is one extravagance that you could not live without?

Coffee. I buy coffee every week. I know it’s expensive, but I have to get it at least once a week. I’m probably kind of addicted to caffeine.

Who would you most like to meet, alive or dead?

Jesus. That would be so cool, because people have all these questions they’d be able to ask him. It’s really faith-based, but at the same time it would be amazing to be able to talk to him and get it from his own mouth.

How did you get involved with the finance major?

I was in engineering and after taking physics, I decided that that was a terrible idea. It’s not that I couldn’t do it, it’s just that I wasn’t enjoying it very much. I couldn’t really come up with anything else to do, so I decided that business was a good area, because you can do a lot with it. I landed on finance just because, with my past math background, it seemed closest to something that (a) I would be able to do easily and (b) it sounded interesting.

If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?

Probably California, because that’s where I was born. I think that is where I would like to go back.
