    Can you describe your outfit?

I guess you could say a style on a budget. I got these [boots] at Forever [21], I got these [opaque tights] when I went to Paris last year and it was really cold, my sister’s sweater, and then a denim skirt.

How would you describe your personal style?

Eclectic. I’m trying to be all fashionista right now, so yeah, eclectic.

How do you think dressing well affects your mood throughout the day?

Honestly, if I don’t have a good outfit, I kind of don’t have a good day. I’ve been like that my whole entire life.

What clothing are you looking forward to wearing now that the weather is cooling down?

    Big, comfy sweaters.

    Aileen Leyva, biochemistry senior

    Can you describe your outfit?

A shirt, a sweater thing, a leather jacket, jeans and booties.

How would you describe your personal style?

I don’t know, it depends on what I feel like wearing that day. Sometimes it’s more preppy than others, sometimes it’s like today.

How do you think dressing well affects your mood throughout the day?

I think it definitely affects my mood, personally. Usually for exams I like to dress nicer, just because it makes me more confident. When I don’t have time to get ready, I feel slouchy and weird.

What clothing are you looking forward to wearing now that the weather is cooling down?

Scarves. I love scarves and beanies and boots, those are my favorite. It sucks living in the desert because you only get to wear them probably a month at most, so I’m excited.

Kenneth Keating, retired professor emeritus of materials science and engineering

    Can you describe your outfit?

Red jacket and a bowtie. When you’re working in a lab, and if you have a foreign hand and the foreign hand gets down on the bench, and the tie gets into the soup and the goop. You wear a bowtie and it gets rid of that.

How would you describe your personal style?

Classic, with a bowtie. My wife used to pick out my clothes, I didn’t know anything about it.

How do you think dressing well affects your mood throughout the day?

I always wore a tie to class … I just thought it was necessary, it was a uniform. I could dodge some of the spitballs. I just did it because I wanted to, that’s all.

What clothing are you looking forward to wearing now that the weather is cooling down?

I’ll probably doff the ties and just go to a sports shirt or something like that.
