With a 4-0 start on one of the country’s toughest college football conferences, including an upset of a then top-10 team in Iowa, Arizona knew it was about to get some talk around the nation.
“”Anytime you get national exposure for the team it’s a great thing,”” said cornerback Robert Golden. “”We’re just happy we’re taking that step toward that mark.””
Golden, along with some of his fellow Wildcats, will be part of the correspondents segment on the ESPN show “”Jim Rome is Burning.”” The footage was shot on Wednesday when the crew followed Golden around during his day.
“”That was pretty exciting,”” he said. “”Basically, I just showed them around campus and everything and (they) came in my workout group and watched me work out and everything so it was pretty fun.””
Golden was asked to come on last week and said that he was excited to be a part of the show. He, along with his workout group, will make an appearance.
“”They just asked me if I wanted to do it and I told them I’d love to do it,”” Golden said. “”It was a great experience for me.””
Golden’s segment will be featured on the “”Jim Rome is Burning”” show today at 1:30 p.m.
