  • ISI Samuel Lazerow Memorial Lecture. The UA School of Information Resources and Library Science presents Luciano Floridi, professor of philosophy and information policy at Oxford University. Floridi will introduce a general debate on informational relevancy in a variety of contexts, including search engines, information retrieval, online advertising, juridical procedures, everyday information processes, medical diagnosis and scientific experiments. 5:30 p.m. Free. “”Swede”” Johnson building, Room 205
  • Public lecture. “”What’s the Matter with Memory?”” will be discussed by Elizabeth Loftus, an expert on eyewitness testimony and a distinguished professor in the departments of psychology and social behavior; criminology, law and society; and cognitive sciences at the University of California at Irvine. Loftus is also an affiliate professor of psychology and law at the University of Washington. 5:30 p.m. Free. SUMC, South Ballroom
