    “Swim, dive under way in Oklahoma”

    The Arizona diving teams completed their first day at the “”Zone E”” Diving Championships yesterday. The event is taking place at Oklahoma Community College.

    Senior diver Tiffany Manning led the way for the women, coming in fourth in the 1-meter competition. Manning racked up 580.95 points. She trails Blythe Hartley of Southern California, QiongJie Huang of Hawaii and Cassidy Krug of Stanford.

    Also for the women, junior Megan McDonald came in 24th place for the 1m competition.

    Senior John Collier is the one to watch for the men. After the 3m competition, he is in sixth place with 663.10 points. Defending champion Joona Puhakka from ASU is currently in first place after day one.

    The event will continue through tomorrow, with competition starting today at 10:30 a.m. The finals for the 1m and 3m take place today.
