Freshman pitcher Kenzie Fowler picked up her second award this week when the Amateur Softball Association of America named her the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Week for the week of April 12- 18.
“”I’m proud to represent the University of Arizona with this special honor. This was a great weekend for us as a team,”” Fowler said in a press release.
Fowler picked up three wins this weekend for Arizona to improve her record to 24-5 on the season.
The freshman from Tucson pitched two complete games on Friday and Saturday against the then-No. 10 Stanford Cardinal. She appeared in relief for senior pitcher Sarah Akamine on Sunday and only allowed one run in 4.2 innings of work.
