  • It’s beach night in Tucson! A full sundae bar (BYOB … bring your own banana, that is), a driving simulator, a Twister Tournament, beach-ball volleyball and a special performance by fire dancers will be happening late into the night. 9 p.m. to midnight. UA Mall

  • “”Over the Hedge”” screening. A scheming raccoon with the voice of Bruce Willis, stolen goods (food to be exact) and a cutting indictment of suburbia come together at last. 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. $3. Student Union Memorial Center, Gallagher Theater
  • Free concert. Celebrate the end of the first week of school and Wildcat Welcome 2006 with Catfest, a free concert with headliners Gym Class Heroes from Geneva, N.Y. Sponsored by the University Activities Board, ASUA and Replay Entertainment, the concert is free with a CatCard (one ticket per CatCard) or $5 without one. 7:30 p.m. Centennial Hall.
