Shocking Photo of Duct Taped Baby Leads To Mother’s Arrest

Feb. 17–WALLINGFORD, P.A. — A Pennsylvania woman was arrested and charged with child endangerment after a photo of her posing with baby daughter who was bound and gagged with duct tape surfaced on the internet.

The disturbing photograph, which shows a smiling 21-year-old Caira Ferguson crouching down to her 2-year-old daughter whose arms and legs are restrained by duck tape to a small chair, surfaced on the popular website Mediatakeout.com earlier this week. It wasn’t immediately clear how the website obtained the image.

After seeing the photo on the site, Ferguson contacted Chester Township Police, claiming the website had stolen her identity. She reportedly revealed the original photograph to detectives. The shocking photo, along with a laundry list of outstanding warrants, prompted authorities to search Ferguson’s home.

The 21-year-old mom was arrested after officers discovered the plastic blue chair that the diaper clad baby was bound to in the photograph. Cops reportedly found remains of the duct tape still attacked to the chair’s armrests.

While being questioned by police, the Wallingford woman admitted to tying the 2-year-old girl to the chair seven months ago.

In addition to child endangerment charges, Ferguson is also being charged with false imprisonment and unlawful restraint.
