Sick of Student Union food and want to try something new? Although you’ll probably be sick of almost all of University Boulevard’s food by September, we’ve got some picks for even the most discerning palette.

    – On a budget? Only have five bucks to get you through the day? Go to No Anchovies (870 E. University Blvd.) and pick up a gourmet slice of pizza. From Mediterranean to chicken-wing pizzas, no one will know how poor you really are.

    – Found that special someone? Ready to take the next step? Dine on Pei Wei’s (845 E. University Blvd.) patio and people-watch while you’re at it. If you’re on a date, Pei Wei offers a lot of a la carte options, plus they can make just about any entrǸe vegetarian. Pei Wei is a cheaper version of P.F. Chang’s, and they have really cool napkins you can steal.

    – Feel like you can eat a horse, or a cow or a pig?? Depending on if you get carne asada or carnitas, Chipotle (905 E. University Blvd.) can help you out. Opt for one of their fresh loaded monster burritos instead of the cardboard microwavable bean-and-cheese burritos that you’ve been living off of for the past month.

    – For the most important meal of the day, (no, we’re not talking about happy hour) go to CafǸ Paraiso (820 E. University Blvd.) for your choice of a breakfast burrito loaded with potatoes, or a bagel sandwich with eggs and cheese prepared just the way you like it. Wash it all down with fresh squeezed OJ before your first test and you’ll be sure to do just fine.

    – Feel like taking a trip back in time? Pop some nickels and listen to some oldies at Johnny Rockets (825 E. University Blvd.), while sipping on an old-fashioned vanilla malt. Grab a burger and fries while you’re at it. This could be your date place if you’re into that whole ice-cream social sort of thing (or you’re cheap).

    – If it’s 1 a.m. and you wanna get your grub on, call Pita Pit (845 E. University Blvd. #175). They deliver to areas surrounding the university, and the food is better than grease-soaked French fries and mystery chicken nuggets, which are sure to send you into a downward food poisoning spiral in no time. You can dream up your own pita and they will fulfill your fantasies.

    – Looking for a place to just chillax? Want to grab a drink with that hottie you’ve been eyein’ in chemistry? Go to Frog & Firkin (874 N. University Blvd.) and enjoy some drinks on the patio while you let the misters cool your hotness. While you’re at it, try some of their fries – they’re amazing.

    – Wanna get drunk, take shots and booty dance? Check out the new talent UA has to offer while spotting high-profile UA athletes at Gentle Ben’s. Guys, keep your eyes on the girls who are dropping the shots, and girls, keep your eyes peeled for the guys that are buying those shots.

    – Top your night off with some ice cream, gelato or smoothies from Penguins (825 E. University Blvd.). They’ve got all the bomb toppings, and we love their smoothies like McAdams loves Gosling.
