Yuma Hall blood drive

Yuma Residence Hall will be hosting a blood drive today.

The blood drive will be held in the living room of Yuma from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Students not available to donate blood today also have the opportunity to donate blood tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the same location.

The process will take about an hour, and one liter of blood could save up to three lives.

Lecture to discuss workplace protection

The University of Arizona Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health is hosting a one-hour presentation today, bringing together experts from Arizona and around the nation to discuss significant public health issues.

The series is sponsored by Partners in Public Health, a community group supporting the College’s mission.

Today’s discussion will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Roy P. Drachman Hall, Room B109.

Adam Finkel will lead a discussion called “”The Odyssey of a Vindication Whistleblower: Protecting Our Workplace for the Public’s Health.””

The presentation will be teleconferenced to the Arizona Health Sciences Center Phoenix Campus, 4001 N. Third St., Suite 415. Presentations can also be viewed live on the Internet at http://video.biocom.Arizona.edu/video/videolibrary/CoPH/PHGR/default.htm.

A light lunch and refreshments will also be served at the live event.
