Junior defensive end Michael Shelton will transfer from the Arizona football program, UA head coach Mike Stoops confirmed Wednesday.

The 6-foot-3, 230 pound Shelton did not participate in any spring practices for personal and disciplinary reasons. He played sparingly in his first two seasons as a Wildcat, clocking in seven tackles in 13 games.

Shelton has not announced what schools he is considering, Stoops said.
