“Campus Cats: Weston Westonburg, sociology junior”

How did you get involved in your major of sociology?

When I was living in New York I had to write a paper on a franc anarchist movement and I read articles by sociology professors and I realized I really liked the subject matter and I didn’t know what I should do or major in anyway.

You mentioned that you used to live in New York. How long did you live in New York?

I lived in Brooklyn for about a year.

What were some of your mostfavorite things to do in New York?

I mean, I don’t know if you could say most favorite things, because it was kind of just living. Things I appreciated about living in New York rather than just Tucson was that there was just good food all the time for cheap for 24 hours a day. That is something that is particularly lacking here.

Is it true that New Yorkers are faster-paced and more intense than the rest of Americans?

I mean, I don’t know about the rest of the United States, but definitely in New York, I feel like you should always be doing something, whereas here it is much easier to sit around. There is much less pressure to be accomplishing things all the time here and there is much more time to relax or accomplish things you want to do verses what you need to do.

Do you prefer uptown or downtown?

I guess I don’t really understand the distinguishment between uptown and downtown. I’m going to go with downtown.
