USC Trojan head coach Kevin O’Neill and his wife were possibly in an altercation with a fan following his team’s victory over the California Golden Bears.
The school’s athletic department released a statement early Friday morning that said the program and athletic director Pat Haden were looking into reports of such an incident.
“”We have received some information tonight about an incident involving coach Kevin O’Neill, his wife and a fan from another school that occurred following our men’s basketball game today,”” the release read.
“”We are looking into this and gathering facts. We will determine what appropriate action is necessary.””
Both Tucson station KVOA and fan website PointGuardU.com reported that O’Neill was in the incident, though neither would name their sources.
