Both lanes of Cherry Avenue between Speedway Boulevard and Helen Street will be closed for the relocation of a water line as part of construction for the Tucson Modern Streetcar, according to a PTS press release.
The work is tentatively scheduled to begin on May 29 and run until June 12. The closure will include both lanes of Cherry Avenue as well as the northernmost lane of Speedway Boulevard. Construction crews intend to keep the intersection of Cherry Avenue and Helen Street open, but with intermittent closures.
