Courtney: Hi, my name is Courtney, and you’re On The Spot. What are you doing?
Andrew Crandall: I’m riding a Segway Human Transporter.
C: Japanese scientists recently attached wheels to iPods. If the scientist’s wheeled machine and this wheeled machine got in a fight, who would win?
AC: I think the Segway would win because the Segway has gyroscopes and iPods don’t. The Segway is actually self-balancing with the gyroscopes, and it turns with a turn of the wrist.
C: Yeah, but can you rock out to your favorite Talking Heads tune with a Segway?
AC: I don’t think you can. No.
C: Have you ever thought about mounting a stellar stereo system on this bad boy?
AC: No I have not. I think that would be illegal.
C: Do they make trailers that you can hook onto this thing?
    AC: Yes they do.
C: Why don’t you have one?
AC: Because I don’t want one – they are too expensive.
C: Well how much was this?
    AC: This was over $1,000.
C: Do people ever point and laugh at you?
    AC: Yes they do.
C: C: What is the weirdest thing someone has said to you?
AC: “” What is that? Where can I get one? That looks fun!””
C: Is it fun? Is riding around on your Segway what you do on the weekends for fun?
AC: No, I usually just listen to music, go on the computer and work out.
C: Which is yet another reason why you should put music accessibility on your Segway.
AC: Talk with Dean Kamen. He is the inventor of the Segway.
