Emma LaPointe, Managing Editor
Emma LaPointe is the managing editor for the Daily Wildcat and is a junior studying political science, journalism, and German studies at the University of Arizona, as well as a member of W.A Franke Honors College. At the Wildcat, Emma has covered local politics and community issues. As of this summer, she is an intern at Tucson Spotlight, a local nonprofit newsroom, also focusing on local politics. Emma is also an SBS Ambassador representing the J-School and has previously worked on elections with the Associated Press. She hopes to pursue a career in international law post-graduation and plans to either continue in journalism or work in a field related to human rights. Emma loves collaborating with the talented reporters at the Wildcat and is excited for what this year will bring. She also loves to compete in powerlifting, escape to San Diego, and take a good nap.
