The Arizona men’s golf team will travel to Albuquerque, N.M. this weekend for the 58th annual William H. Tucker Intercollegiate.
After finishing 10th out of 15 in their last tournament, the men had time to prepare and practice their skills for this upcoming weekend.
The team finished in ninth place last year for The William H. Tucker Intercollegiate.
Seniors Erik Oja, Benson Liu and Dylan Kornberg and juniors Alex McMahon and Tucker Watkins all performed well in last year’s William H. Tucker Intercollegiate and after a year of preparation, are ready to compete in this tournament once again.
Oja led the team last year, tying for 10th place with a three-over 219 total. McMahon played as an individual and tied 16th place with a five-over 221. Watkins tied for 38th place.
The William H. Tucker Intercollegiate will feature 16 teams in total.
The tournament begins Friday at 7:30 a.m. opening with 36 holes. The final round of the tournament is scheduled for Saturday at 7:30 a.m.
