The University of Arizona Police Department detained a suspect at the Student Union Memorial Center this morning after responding to reports of an armed male seen on main campus. The man was said to have a gun in his waistband and was initially seen running west from the Communications building, located near Old Main.
The reported man was described as being in his mid 20’s, wearing a “red flannel [shirt] and [black] pants with white stripe on the side,” according to a UAlert sent out to students, faculty and others.
