The Green Room, a flower shop in Downtown Tucson, opened its doors in early November and has since provided the greater Tucson community with beautiful floral arrangements.
The establishment is owned by Guillermo Bravo and is located at 71 E. Pennington St.
Bravo had always dreamed of opening a flower shop, and was delighted to have the opportunity to create this space in Tucson, a city he praised for its advantages for new establishments.
“I really like Tucson, and I think it’s such a good town to do your business,” Bravo said. “You can put something new; you can do new things here.”
Bravo’s shop makes arrangements for a variety of different occasions, from weddings to birthdays to graduations, according to the business’s website. The Green Room also offers workshops for customers interested in creating their own floral arrangements. Recently, the shop hosted a “Relaxation Workshop” for customers, in which guests could make their own floral pumpkins.
Bravo looks forward to expanding the reach of his business as time goes on and he gains new customers. Not only will his establishment provide floral arrangements for many occasions, but it will also offer new opportunities for employment as well.
“As it grows, I am most excited for people to learn about me and my business, and I’m excited to get to a point where I can hire people and help people,” Bravo said. “I’ve dreamed of having a flower shop for a long time to be able to create opportunities for more jobs that will help people in Tucson.”
Bravo’s passion and enthusiasm for this business and its ability to better people’s lives was clear. He hoped to spread this love and appreciation for these flowers throughout the greater Tucson community.
“I put my best work and my heart into every arrangement I make. I make a wide variety of designs depending on the occasion and person, and I’ve seen that flowers make people happy,” Bravo said. “No matter what the occasion, flowers bring positivity and a smile to peoples’ faces and make them feel better.”
Bravo encouraged students and other community members to place orders for these arrangements.
Prospective customers can find more information about the shop on Instagram, or through flyers that Bravo posts throughout Downtown Tucson. Additionally, Bravo said he relied on word of mouth advertising from clients he has had for years.
