Today UA Bookstores will reopen its store at McKale Center.
The A-Store at McKale Center is having its grand opening today after extensive renovations. It used to be called the “McKale Sports Stop.”
During the grand opening, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. today, free Pinkberry will be given out in addition to other giveaways.
This is UA Bookstores’ fifth A-Store, after the one in the Marshall Building opened earlier this month.
The A-Store at Main Gate replaces the Arizona Bookstore, which was not UA owned.
The Main Gate store sells clothing, computers and textbooks.
The two new A-Stores join A-Stores at the Tucson Mall, Park Place Mall and UA Downtown. UA Bookstores now has five stores on campus: the Student Union Memorial Center bookstore, the Arizona Health Sciences Center bookstore, the McKale Center and Main Gate bookstores and Wildcat Threads in the Student Recreation Center.
On the Fridays before home football games, the store will continue its traditional “Bear Down Sale,” which cuts 25 percent off the price of most UA items and general books. The sale is only at the Student Union bookstore and the Main Gate A-Store.
