The two suspects who were arrested on suspicion of armed robbery of two male UA students were arraigned Monday night with each suspect appearing before the court, individually, via a video link.
Alfonso Aguilar and Greg Garrison’s bonds were set at $100,000 each and are scheduled to reappear in court on Oct. 30 at 1:30 p.m. They are not UA students.
The robbery occurred at 12:37 a.m. Monday morning in front of Centennial Hall, police said. One shot was fired, but it did not hit anyone. Police were unable to identify what was stolen, because there is a pending investigation.
Both Aguilar and Garrison are minors, but the judge ordered that they be tried as adults.
The UA student fired at was an Eller College of Management student, but police did not release his name. He did not appear at the suspects’ arraignment.
A third suspect is currently being sought by the University of Arizona Police Department and Tucson Police Department.
