Native Americans in media
Coverage of Native Americans in the news media is sometimes unfavorable, misinterpreted or non-existent. Come join us as our panel discusses these issues in an open forum. The event is sponsored by the University of Arizona Native American Journalists Association. This discussion will be held in the Gallagher Theater at noon.

Meet award-winning author
Join author Meir Shalev for an informal discussion of his novel “”A Pigeon and a Boy,”” winner of the 2007 Jewish Book Award. “”A Pigeon and Boy”” is a tale of love and loss that spans over 60 years, intertwining the story of a young pigeon handler during the 1948 Israeli war with that of a middle-aged tour guide in modern Israel. The discussion will be held in the Marshall building in room 490 at 3 p.m.

Let’s go to Italy!
The department of French and Italian invites all interested students to a presentation and information session for study abroad programs in Italy. The presentation will cover curriculum and credits, cost, housing, museum tours and excursions and how to apply for the study abroad programs. This information session will take place in the ILC, room 119 at 3 p.m.
