Two memorial services will be held on Saturday for Drew Gyorke, a UA student involved in an accident Sunday night.
Gyorke died in a single vehicle collision after he ran a stop sign and collided with a wall on the southside of East Skyline Drive, according to a media release from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies responded to the scene at 9:21 p.m. He was then taken to the University of Arizona Medical Center, where he later died.
Gyorke was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, a member of the Sports Journalism Club and a photographer for the Arizona Daily Wildcat.
The first service will be from 10 a.m. to noon at the Performance Garden at Tohono Chul Park.
At 8 p.m., his fraternity will also host another service at the house, located at 1525 E. Drachman.
Both memorial services are open to the public.
