After two days competing at the Pacific 10 Conference Championships, the No. 7 Arizona men’s swimming team stands in third place behind No. 2 California and No. 3 Stanford.
Senior Tyler Deberry clocked in an NCAA consideration time in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:24.28. In the 200y individual medley finals sophomore Adam Ritter received a NCAA qualifying time of 1:45.69.
Senior Dave Rollins also swam a consideration time of 1:47.15 in the event.
Senior Lyndon Ferns posted an NCAA consideration time as well in the 50y freestyle in 19.77. Fellow senior Simon Burnett had an NCAA qualifying time of 19.50 in the 50y freestyle.
In the 200y freestyle relay the Arizona ‘A’ team of Burnett, Ferns, Ritter and freshman Nicholas Nilo took third place and posted an NCAA qualifying time of 1:18.40.
The Championships will run through Saturday in Federal Way, Wash.
Preliminaries start again today at 11 a.m. and finals begin at 6 p.m.
