    “6.9-magnitude earthquake hits Baja California, latest in cluster of temblors”

    LOS ANGELES — A 6.9-magnitude earthquake struck Baja California on Thursday morning, the latest of multiple temblors to strike the region in the last few days.

    The latest quake occurred at 10:43 a.m. PDT about 85 miles northeast of La Paz. There were no reports of injuries or damage.

    Three quakes measuring greater than magnitude 5 struck northeast of La Paz in the last two days. One of those, which hit Wednesday morning, measured magnitude 5.8.

    Earlier Thursday morning, a 4.7 quake hit at 8:26 a.m. It was centered about 70 miles northeast of La Paz, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

    To the north, a 4.3-magnitude quake struck after 4 p.m. Wednesday 50 miles southeast of Ensenada, closely following a 4.0 temblor.
