Two days removed from its disappointing 20-17 loss to No. 13 ASU, four Arizona football players were selected for the
All-Pac-10 teams.
Linebacker Spencer Larsen, who led the conference with 131 tackles, was named to the first team for the first time in his career.
Cornerback Antoine Cason – who is also a finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award, given to the best defensive back in the country – was named to the first team for the second time in his career.
Wide receiver Mike Thomas was the lone Wildcat representative on offense. He compiled a career year, leading the conference in catches (82) and finishing with 11 touchdowns and 1,027 yards.
The Wildcats’ special teams was also recognized, as redshirt freshman Keenyn Crier was named the first-team punter. Crier’s season highlight was a 83-yard punt at USC on Oct. 13.
Offensive lineman Eben Britton and defensive lineman Lionel Dotson were named to the second teams.
Quarterback Willie Tuitama, tight end Rob Gronkowski, kicker Jason Bondzio, offensive tackle Peter Graniello and defensive end Jason Parker all received honorable mentions.
