The Arizona men’s basketball team officially released their final 2009-10 roster today.
Head coach Sean Miller has announced Dondre Wise – brother of Nic – Ross Davidson and Max Wiepking have been named to the final three roster spots, bringing the total to 15 players. Dondre Wise was given the 13th scholarship and Davidson and Wiepking will be the team’s walk-ons.
Wise, a sophomore guard, played the 2007-2008 season at Pima Community College, averaging 10.7 points and 3.2 assists per contest, all while starting in 17 of his 30 games played. He played with brother Nic for two seasons at Kingwood High School in Kingwood, Texas, where they compiled a winning average of 88 percent.
Wiepking, a freshman forward, stands 6-foot-6 and hails from Englewood, Colo. He averaged 19.6 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game in his final high school season. Davidson, a freshman forward from San Juan Capistrano, Calif., played basketball, football and track at Junipero Serra Catholic High School.
Both Davidson and Wiepking were honor roll students.
