No. 14 Arizona volleyball rebounded on Sunday with a sweep victory over the No. 18 Oregon Ducks.
In front of a packed lower bowl at McKale Center, the Wildcats dominated the entire match, winning sets by scores of 25-15, 25-16 and 25-23. The win moves the UA to 11-3 overall and 1-1 in Pac-12 Conference play.
On Sunday, the Wildcats were led by 15 kills from outside hitter Kalei Mau, while Nikki Attea contributed 10 kills of her own. As a team, Arizona managed to produce a .255 hit percentage while keeping Oregon to a lowly .147 percentage.
The UA defended most of Oregon’s attacks, as Laura Larson led the way with 12 digs. In total, Arizona outnumbered Oregon in attacks by a count of 110 to 102.
The Wildcats scored on five service aces but did commit 17 attack errors.
Arizona, which lost to rival ASU heading into Sunday, now has a few days to prepare for its Wednesday evening home match with Stanford.
