An accident occurred on Mountain Avenue and Speedway Boulevard at exactly 1 p.m. Two cars were involved in the crash. A gold 2005 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by April Adele, a student at Aveda Cosmetology School, was forced head-on into a traffic light pole after being hit perpendicularly by a silver 2004 Volvo S60, driven by Curtis Durham, a UA linguistics graduate student. The pole is slightly damaged. Lauren Franzen, a passenger in Adele’s car, suffered a head injury during the accident.
