When the wee hours of the morning roll around and UA students are craving some good eats, local sandwich shops Jimmy John’s and Silver Mine Subs are among some of the only restaurants near campus with their lights still on, as they stay open until 3 a.m. With only 800 feet separating them, the late-night shops may seem to cater to the same crowd. But aside from a shared passion for whipping up some quick sandwiches, that is mostly where the similarities stop between the Mine and J.J.’s.
