    • Health lecture. Elements of a heart healthy diet. Can the progress of cardiovascular disease be slowed down and can heart disease be prevented? Nancy Rogers, M.S., R.D., will review what current scientific research has learned to date and give practical dietary suggestions. Bring your lunch and find out if there are ways to reduce your risk of heart disease. Noon. Student Union Memorial Center, Copper Room
  • Writing workshop. Upper-division writing workshop. Joe Stefani of the Writing Skills Improvement Program will discuss “”Refining Your Paper: Revising for Content and Organization.”” This lecture is part of a free semester-long series of workshops held every Tuesday. 4 p.m. Psychology building, Room 205
  • Presentation. “”Housing for success.”” Juan Williams, nationally known print and broadcast journalist, will address the economic issues facing low-income families, with an emphasis on affordable housing from both a personal and journalistic point of view. 5 p.m. SUMC, Gallagher Theater
