Someone pulled the fire alarm post station in Park Student Union, setting off a false alarm.
Students and employees evacuated Park Student Union at around 12:40 p.m. after a fire alarm went off.
University of Arizona Police Department officers confirmed the false alarm. The building was re-set and people returned to Park Student Union after about seven or 10 minutes.
“”We normally get a few fire alarms through the year that are not actual fire alarms,”” said UAPD Public Information Officer Sgt. Juan Alvarez.
Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering building was also evacuated around 2:30 p.m. Officials believe this was also a false alarm.
