Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders will campaign for Hillary Clinton at the UA on Tuesday, Oct 18.
Sanders will host the Arizona Democratic Party’s Early Vote Rally from 7-8 p.m. at the Main Stage on the UA Mall.
Sanders visited Tucson twice during his Democratic primary campaign and his rallies drew thousands of supporters. Tuesday night, Sanders will be encouraging students to cast their votes this November for his former Democratic rival.
According to Clinton’s campaign website, Sanders will discuss “Clinton’s plan to build an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top.”
Before traveling to the UA, Sanders will host an Arizona Democratic Party’s Get Out the Vote Rally at Northern Arizona University from 2:30-3:30 p.m.
The Associated Students of the University of Arizona office in the Student Union Memorial Center will serve as an early voting site starting Monday, Oct. 17. UA students who are registered to vote can cast their ballots from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Nov. 4.
