The University of Arizona’s fall semester is now in full swing, with the club fair past and recruitment events for campus organizations slowing.
The Daily Wildcat compiles weekly a list of important dates to make note of to help students keep track of events and academic deadlines amidst their busy schedules. Check out some of the dates to remember for this week, Sept. 6 through Sept. 12, below.
Sept. 6: Labor Day
No courses meet.
Sept. 6: Panhellenic Bid Day
Students rushing a Panhellenic sorority will receive bids from sororities and celebrate with the chapter they will be joining.
Sept. 7: Interfraternity Council Bid Day
Students rushing an IFC fraternity will receive their bid from fraternities and celebrate with the chapter they will be joining.
Sept. 9, 3-5 p.m.: Disability Cultural Center open house
The DCC will be opening its doors to the public to come and see the space, with in-person and online options. The center is located in Highland Commons at 1224 E. Lowell St. To join the online open house, use the meeting ID 838 0908 0552.
Sept. 11, 7 p.m.: First home football game
Following its loss to BYU on Sept. 4, the Arizona Wildcats will play San Diego State at home in Arizona Stadium.
Sept. 12, 11:30 a.m.: Lute Olson tribute
The University of Arizona will host a tribute for the late former Arizona men’s basketball coach Lute Olson. The tribute will be held in McKale Center and will be open to the public. The event will also be livestreamed on Arizona Athletics’ Facebook page and via Pac-12’s website.
