No. 3 Arizona men’s basketball opened the championship round of the EA Sports with a 72-53 win over Missouri on Monday afternoon to survive and advance.
The Tigers’ (2-2) defense shut down the Wildcats (4-0) for about a half, before Arizona pulled away in the second half to win the first leg of their three games in three days Maui trip.
The Wildcats face Kansas State on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. Arizona time on ESPN.
