Arizona star linebacker Scooby Wright III will be out
several weeks with a foot injury, according to head coach Rich Rodriguez.
Rodriguez confirmed the injury at his weekly
press conference Monday afternoon.
“Having Scooby out several weeks is something we’re
going to have to deal with,” Rodriguez said.
Wright sprained his right foot during Arizona’s 56-30
loss to UCLA Saturday. The game marked Wright’s return from a three-week absence
after suffering a meniscus injury in the Wildcats’ season opener.
This injury is unrelated, according to Rodriguez.
He also confirmed that
Arizona quarterback Anu Solomon suffered a concussion in the first half of
Arizona’s defeat. Solomon did not return to the game.
