Spotlighting Tucson’s Arizona State Senate Races

Every two years, Arizona’s 30 state legislative districts elect one senator. Republicans are only challenging Democratic control in two of the four districts encompassing Tucson. Voters can locate their districts online here

The Second Legislative District includes southern portions of Tucson.

    Andrea Dalessandro (Democrat):

This November, Dalessandro is seeking to secure a third term in the Arizona State Senate. Dalessandro is campaigning on her support for teachers, protecting natural resources, promoting solar energy and advocating for Tucson community organizations.

    Shelley Kais (Republican):

After a narrow primary victory, Kais is looking to win her first political office. Kais is campaigning on her support for veterans and her promises to revitalize southern Arizona’s economy and ensure communities are safe.

The Tenth Legislative District includes eastern portions of Tucson.

    David Bradley (Democrat):

This November, Bradley is seeking to secure a fourth term in the Arizona State Senate. Bradley is campaigning on providing resources for educators, building infrastructure, reforming sentencing laws and protecting the environment.

    Marilyn Wiles (Republican):

This November is Wiles’ first foray into seeking political office, as she hopes to unseat Bradley. Wiles is campaigning on her small business experience, serving taxpayers and increasing accountability at the legislature.
