    Things to know today

    National Coming Out Day

    Today marks the anniversary of a 1987 march in which 500,000 people protested in Washington, D.C., for gay and lesbian equality. The international day gives people the opportunity to reveal their sexuality and increases visibility of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

    Salsa Dancing

    Brucy Montoya and Summer Sando, two master teachers of salsa, will be on campus today to teach students how to merengue and salsa with the best of them. The event is from noon to 1 p.m. in the CǸsar E. Chávez building, Room 211.

    Learn, Intern, Familiarize, Experience drive kickoff

    Students interested in a LIFE internship from companies such as Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Disney and Philip Morris can visit the Eller Professional Development Center in McClelland Hall, Room 203, today between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Students may have resumes reviewed by employers and receive professional feedback. The event includes food and prizes.
