Community Day Open House
If you’re new to Tucson, community organizations and local businesses will spread out along the UA Mall for the Community Day Open House from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to give you the scoop on things to do in the city. There will be live entertainment and free stuff to be given away.
Yoga at a reduced price
The Yoga Connection, 4893 E. Speedway Blvd., is offering Yoga classes for $3 from noon to 1 p.m. Those interested, whether you’re beginning or advanced, can call Ashley at (520) 323-1222 or visit yogaconnection.org. Only cash will be accepted.
Understanding money and credit
A free session on how to set goals, make a budget, use credit cards and credit wisely and commit to savings will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Consumer Credit Counseling Services, 4732 N. Oracle Road, Suite 217. For more information call Christina Herrerra, (520) 208-0386.
Wildcat LGBTQ Pizza Party
Have pizza with other lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and allied students from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Nugent Building, room 205, as part of the Wildcat Welcome festivities. Learn about all the resources available on and off campus for LGBTQ students and find out how to get involved.
