“Heist” at The Loft Cinema
As part of the summer “One Hit Wonders” series, The Loft Cinema, 3233 E. Speedway Blvd., presents a special screening of a new documentary film that explores the roots of the 2008 economic crash. “Heist” producer and director Francis Causey will be in attendance and will hold a question and answer session following the film. Tickets are $9 for general admission or $7 with a valid student ID. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Open Mic Night at Laffs
Gather some friends, have a few drinks and find out who the funniest one is in your group. Head to Laffs, 2900 E. Broadway Blvd., where anyone can become the star of the evening. Doors open and sign-up begins at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. Admission is free but restricted to people aged 21 or older.

Authority Zero at The Rock
Spend your Friday the 13th at The Rock and get lost in a punk rock mosh pit with the reggae-infused sound of Authority Zero. The punk band with Arizona roots headlines a show that will also feature local acts Contraband and Three White Lies. The Rock is located at 136 N. Park Ave. and the show is open to all ages. WWE Super Show at Tucson Convention Center
The superstars of WWE will be in town for a special “Super Show” at the Tucson Convention Center, 260 S. Church Ave. The best wrestlers from the “Raw” and “Smackdown” shows will be performing, highlighted by John Cena, The Big Show, Alberto Del Rio and Sheamus. Stephane Wrembel at Club Congress
For an evening of great music, the place to be is Club Congress for a performance by French-born jazz guitarist Stephane Wrembel. He has performed at the Academy Awards and recently composed the theme track for Woody Allen’s Oscar-nominated film, “Midnight in Paris.” Tickets are $20 at the door, the show starts at 7 p.m. and admission is restricted to people aged 21 and over.

Stefan George at Plush
Longtime Tucson favorite and award-winning folk singer Stefan George will be performing a free lounge show at Plush, 340 E. Sixth St. The show starts at 9:30 p.m., is 21 and up and there is no cover.
TUESDAY, July 17
“Back to the Past” at The Gaslight Theater
You’ve seen the 1985 classic film, “Back to the Future,” now it is time to cue the spoof. The Gaslight Theater, 7010 E. Broadway Blvd., presents “Back to the Past,” the play. Blast off to the 1950s in Doc Everett Crown’s tricked out time machine car. Tickets are $17.95, or $15.95 with a student ID card, doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.
