Get Firefox 2.0 today
Firefox 2, a free Internet browser, will be available to download this afternoon at www.getfirefox.com, according to Mozilla Corporation officials. New features include built-in phishing protection, improved tab browsing, the ability to resume browsing sessions after crashes, inline spell checking and more, according to the Firefox Web site.
More students volunteering
Community service among college students has risen 20 percent in three years, according to a report by the Corporation for National and Community Service. According to the report, 3.3 million, or about 30 percent, of college students ages 16-24 across the U.S. volunteered in 2005, while 2.7 million students volunteered in 2002.
Tunnel of Oppression
Beginning today, students can experience the Tunnel of Oppression, a tour through a series of rooms featuring skits, videos, other media and roleplaying designed to raise awareness of acts of oppression that occur in society. Groups and individuals can tour the Tunnel of Oppression at Kaibab-Huachuca Residence Hall from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. through Thursday.
