Arizona men’s basketball breezed to a comfortable 69-57 win, never trailing against a Colorado squad missing Spencer Dinwiddie.
The No. 1 Wildcats (19-0, 6-0 Pac-12 Conference) tied former UA head coach Lute Olson’s record of 19 consecutive wins.
Arizona held the Buffaloes (15-5, 4-3) to 38 percent shooting, grabbed eight steals and had five blocks.
Junior guard Nick Johnson led the way for the Wildcats with 18 points, but only six in the second half. The UA shot 49 percent from the field.
Sophomore forward Brandon Ashley scored 15 points, grabbed four rebounds, two steals and a block.
Both teams had 32 rebounds.
Freshman forward Aaron Gordon scored 12 points, had four rebounds, dished three assists and had two steals. Sophomore guard Gabe York came off the bench to chip in with nine points.
Colorado’s Xavier Johnson scored a game-high 21 points.
