On ‘Students protest gun resolution,’ Feb. 4
The university is a school, not a gun range, open public lands or your own property. There is no reason anyone except the police should possess a gun on campus. If someone thinks allowing individuals to possess guns will keep them from being harmed I recommend they look at police who have been killed in armed encounters. Possessing a gun doesn’t prevent you from being harmed. It does provide you with another level of force to use, it makes you a threat and unable to be identified as the originator of a threat by responding police. GUNS DO NOT BELONG ON CAMPUS.

On ‘Fouled out,’ Feb. 5
That was the WORST foul CALLING by officials I have EVER seen, and WE know we’ve seen plenty of bad ones, like playing Duke. That’s what this felt like, how they were calling fouls when a shot was missed … the missed dunk at the end of the game was the clincher on the fix. It was a disgusting throw of a game, and the ‘Cats should be proud of themselves to be in it after that B.S.! BEAR DOWN and get the next one!
