Final: No.11 Arizona volleyball sweeps Yale to advance to second round of NCAA tournament

No. 11 seeded Arizona volleyball opened the NCAA tournament with a sweep of Yale in the first round.

After cruising to victory in the first two sets, the Wildcats (24-9) started slow in the third, trailing 6-3, before winning 25-19. Arizona won the second set 25-17 and the first 25-12.

Outside hitter Madi Kingdon picked up a double-double, with 18 kills and 14 digs. She hit .410 percent as well.

Setter Penina Snuka had 31 assists and eight digs. Libero Ronni Lewis had 11 digs.

The Wildcats will face BYU (26-4) , who swept Seton Hall 25-16, 25-18, 25-17, earlier in the day at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
