Take a tie that you don’t use (or steal one from your dad) and make a little pouch from it. Take the bottom of the tie (the larger end) and cut the tie horizontally, making sure the end of the tie is long enough to hold whatever you want to use the pouch for (glasses, etc.) if you fold over the pointed end. Sew shut the part you just cut, then sew a buttonhole in the center of the pointed flap and a corresponding button on the other side of the tie. When you fold over the flap, you can close the pouch with the button.
