Out of five passing attempts, Jerrard Randall would only need to complete one. It just so happened to be the game winning touchdown in double overtime against the 10th-ranked team in the country.
Despite penalties, miscues, injuries to the starting quarterback and middle linebacker, the Wildcats somehow pulled out the victory.
Anu Solomon, who sustained a head injury mid-fourth quarter and did not return, finished the night with three all-purpose touchdowns and 277 yards. He also managed 86 yards rushing.
Cayleb Jones led all UA receivers with five catches for 126 yards and one touchdown.
But the biggest touchdown of them all came from Randall to receiver Nate Philips for a 25-yard touchdown.
It might have been the fact that it was senior night, but all the seniors played well. The special teams dynamic duo of Casey Skowron and Drew Riggleman were dynamic. Skowron nailed three field goals and Riggleman averaged 47 yards on three punts.
Up next, Arizona faces ASU in the Territorial Cup.
