One of the first examples of the contemporary boy band genre because of their success in the late ’80s, The New Kids on the Block reunited 14 years after their last release and took on a new style with their new album, The Block.
A high-energy vibe for more than half of the album stands out so much that the songs could survive on their own as singles in the club scene. Hearing what these mostly inactive musicians had to bring to the table wasn’t appealing, but it wasn’t that bad after all.
Best Songs: Noticeably “”Big Girl Now”” (featuring Gaga) and “”Put It On My Tab”” (featuring Akon)
