Maybe the team has been getting better the past few weeks, or maybe their winning-streak facial hair is really working.
On Friday, interim head coach Russ Pennell, who has grown a goatee but insists that its just a fashion statement, said he expected to see Wildcat fans in McKale Center sporting fake beards for the game against USC the night before, but it didn’t happen.
Which gives us an idea:
Although starting guard Kyle Fogg can’t grow a beard – “”I’ve been growing one for 19 years,”” he said – we think you can.
The Daily Wildcat is sponsoring a week-long contest to see who can grow the best win-streak beard leading up to the basketball team’s contest at ASU on Sunday.
The Wildcat will have a photographer on the Mall today only from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Anyone interested can sign up for our contest. We’ll take your photo today and catch up with you at the end of the week to get an after shot.
The person with the best beard at week’s end will receive an amazing prize, so be there!
